Arthur Linfoot was attached to Wharncliffe War Hospital in Sheffield during his time there in 1915 and 1916. He appears to have been there to get some basic paramedical experience and instruction, and to do portering, cleaning and other manual jobs in and out of the wards. See also Sheffield map.

On duty as usual and on the parade ground. Received word that I had to go with a party to the Wharncliffe War Hospital1 in the morning.
